If humidity is even a small problem where you live(It is in Florida)stay away from the George L gold ends! They oxidize very quickly,darken in color,and then you lose your connection at the input jacks...
I'm converting back to the chrome ones,as I've had no problems with those...

yeah, that's also why I don't think I'll buy any guitars with gold hardware in the future.

The gold hardware is more of a problem with the avid salty sweaters...If you keep the gold hardware clean it's not an issue..
These George L gold ends get oxidized just being exposed to the surroundings in my home...I plugged one into my new Vox today and got all this static and loss of tone from the gold end into the Vox input jack...I flung that cable and I'm buying 2 of the original chrome George L ends...Glad I don't have any of these gold ends on my pedalboard...That would really suck!
