Tonight I was playing through my Valvetronix head at the lower 1 watt and 15 watt settings through my Cyber Twin's 2x12 cabinet...I used the 1x12 Fender Tweed 12 setting with the Top Boost in...Got a great ZZ Top quot;La Grangequot; crunch with my strat....I then added a bit of spring reverb and a very slight of delay just to give the tone a sense of space...Got great tone and with the ability to easily sustain notes....The 15 watt setting was great..The 1 watt setting is cool because it lowers the volume, but the gain and compression stays the same, but at a bedroom volume...

I'm having so much fun with this amp...Getting really good tones is very easy....I kept the amp in quot;manual modequot; tonight and just treated the entire amp as if it was actually just a Fender 57 little Tweed amp but with the ability to add reverb, delay, and the Vox Top Boost mode that gave the Tweed setting more growl and more gain...Very very cool indeed....

Just love sharing this with you all...Hope I didn't bore ya? LOL
VERY COOL EFFECTS BUILT-IN
The effects in Valvetronix amps aren't an afterthought. Each one is a carefully crafted model of one of a variety of sought after classic and popular effects. These 10 essential pedals include Compressor, Acoustic Simulation, VOX Wah, Auto Wah, U-Vibe, Octave Divider, Treble Boost, valve Overdrive, Fat Overdrive and Fuzz. As pedals, they appear before the preamp models so they can drive the preamp in the same way they would in a traditional setup.

Valvetronix heads and combos also feature Modulation, Delay and Reverb effects sections, all of which can be used simultaneously. Just like in a pro guitar amp/rack, these effects sit between the preamp and power amp sections. The Modulation Section includes models of popular Chorus, Flanger, Phaser, Tremolo and Rotary effects. The Delay Section delivers Delay, Tape Echo and Multi-Head delay. A Tap button is provided for setting the delay time. The Reverb Section has three types, Spring, Plate and Room. Each section can be controlled independently from the top panel, or, in the case of Modulation, from the optional VC-4 Foot Controller.

quot;THE FRONT END, WHERE IT ALL STARTS
The preamp sections of the Valvetronix combos rely on Korg's proprietary REMS™ technology. REMS (Resonant structure and Electronic circuit Modeling System) accurately reproduces the complex circuitry in each of the modeled amplifier's signal paths and re-creates the tonality originally created in those amps. It even replicates their unique tone-stack networks so the Valvetronix' tone controls interact exactly as they do in the amplifiers being modeled! Play any one of the Valvetronix range and you'll hear and feel the difference immediatelyquot;.

I tried the 30 watt and 15 watt yesterday at Guitar Center....If I didn't have other huge GASses as it is, I'd freaking buy that little combo RIGHT NOW! It sounded amazing with every guitar I tried it with!

I'm just so impressed with the tones I get out of this head and all the reviews...I think it's priced very reasonable for most of us to reach, plus the thing is stunning to stare at...

Glad I'm not alone...I realize alot of people don't care to hear about modeling amps etc...but Vox/Korg has to get some Kudos for doing it righteous on this one! The more time you spend learning and getting to know these amps, the better the amp sounds..I still own and love my old tube amps, but I'm having a blast with this thing!

John
Honey Please STAY UP! LOL

What I loved the most about it was not only did it get great tone, as other modelers often do, but it had tube feel, and that's what every other digital amp I've ever played lacked. I'll testify that this thing kicks a ton of ass for metal amp; shred!

Yep exactly and it's this quot;Valve Reactorquot; technology that Vox/Korg have a patent on..It's 2 preamp tubes in the output section(On the stereo models) acting like big power tubes but there's a circuit that pushes and lets the 12AX7s act like regular output tubes...The feel is pretty nice on the amp,and I Know the right cab makes alot of difference also...

That seems like a great and inexpensive idea to protect your investment. I think that I'll just have to get one too!Originally Posted by STRATDELUXER97JM....I just ordered a cool Vox cover for my head for when it leaves the house...It was $25 total with the shipping...Figured it was a smart investment, plus these covers have been hard to find..Until now! I have covers for every amp I own...At least it protects the amp from the weather(A little)and protects the tolex....It's cool to have a cover for if and when you'd sell the amp...It's a great $25 investment,I think.
