What is the best delay pedal with lots of tonal possibilities....

Reviews of the Line 6 DL4 Delay look mediocre...

Anyone know??? $200 or less preferably...-Will

what other delay modeler is there?!

Is that the verdict?

You could always go with Line 6's smaller Echo Park. It's pretty decent. I just like having the extra 2 presets with the DL 4. I love my DL 4.

2nd the echo park

what do you need lots of possibilities for?

I love my DL-4. I use the digital delay most of the time, but I like knowing that I have the ability to switch to any of the other models, and the 4 presets. The tap tempo is cool, as is the ability to have the delays trail off after you turn it off. Mincer loves its loop capabilities, but I'll leave that to him to explain. IIRC, I paid $150 for it.

Boss DD-20.

I'm second-ing the DL4, I can't compare it to any other delay modler,or delay for that matter but I love this thing. So many possibilities and different models. The looper's great too!! and the tap tempo is definitly an excellent thing to have, especially for those rhymithic delays!

the dl4- most reviewers are impatient snobs. really though, this thing rocks. the absolutely best pedal i have bought, ever. really.

it also functions as a chorus, overdrive, auto-wah, and the looper!! oh my, 28 seconds of glorious looping time...mmmmmm

A lot of people seem to like the DL-4. I've never used one personally, but I've always wanted to at least try one.

I have two analog delays on my board right now (AD-9 and DM-3). I don't really do the long delay thing so they serve their purpose. Plus I've always wanted to try out the looping stuff on the DL-4. I'll get one some day.
