Can someone please measure me a celestion speaker in the distance that it is from front to the back. I am making a 1/12 cab and need to know how far back I need to go to give room for the speaker to fit. Thanks!

Have you tried the website for the speakers you want? They usually provide specs, in cluding mounting depth....

Yep, the Celestion specs are all here.

if its a closed back, give it at least a good 3-6 inches of clearance. If not you'll be choking down the efficiency and bass response of the cab.

Just find the depth dimensions for a 1960A marshall cab and you'll be fine!

Yeah, you'll want about 11 inches of depth AT LEAST.

Can you please explain what 11quot; of DEBT looks like? A stack of credit card bills?

Love ya bro.

Hate to hijack the thread, but you too!

just a bit of caution ... a speaker enclosure is not just a box to hold the speaker ... the physical dimensions have ALOT to do with how it will sound ... probably the single most influential variable in the whole project, actually ... a great speaker in a poorly designed enclosure can sound TERRIBLE ... materials and construction methods play a large part too ... good luck
