Anyone heard of this video by Jim Weider? My local luthier is trying to sell me this, but it is sealed and he won't open it for a preview. He said that it is a great video for teaching 'fender' style licks and blues etc etc. Has anyone had experience with this video and is willing to sell it?

No, but if you buy it, I'd love to hear a review.

I saw it, There's many better Instructonal Video's out there IMHO. The whole
premise of the the video is he explain's how to get the Classic Fender tone.
He plug's a vintage Strat into a vintage fender amp and play's some licks.
Then he explains the #2 amp; #4 position in the strat switch? I'm sorry, But
if you need a video to show you how to get your Fender to sound Like a
Fender?? Well than it might help. Other than that it's silly I
have both Warren Haynes and Danny Gatton's video's. Ton's of stuff to
be learned from those guy's .

don't have it, but i have a different video by him amp; it's great. He's got some humor so its not so much like watching a documentary, and he usually explains things pretty well

....but are the licks good? I'm not the most imaginative guitarist, and quite frankly, I don't believe in reinventing the wheel when it comes to unfamiliar territory like clean fender-ish licks. I was hoping to get a bit of insight into the kind of licks that he introduces.

If you want to learn Fender style type licks do what KMC suggested. Danny Gatton is the master of the Telecaster (sorry Albert Collins). Warren Haynes is a great player and his videos are a great resource to learn from!
