You dont hear Cort mentioned much, yeh they are pretty cheap guitars, But my first guitar just happened to be a Cort Z-22 after playing about 20 other electrics in the shop all priced in the cheap range, the chort was the better one. So anyways, What do you guys think of cort as a cheap guitar, I think they aren't to bad myself. Great for a cheap guitar to mod if you ask me.

i like cort a lot. they have that katana, G and masterpiece (great axes, with duncans or emgs) series that are great guitars...i think it is the best brand for the price out there along with schecter

i tried some cort and they are mighty good for the money. iirc, cort is one of the bigger builders in korea next to samick. i heard they ghost build for other major brands too.

i only played the Cort Neil Zaza signature which is in the high price range, but man this guitar rocks.

Nice axes. And yeah, Cort ghost builds for heaps of other companies.

Oops... I voted yes. I though it said quot;goodquot; not quot;junkquot;... hehe

My friends gave me a Cort acoustic for my 21st birthday. I love it.

no, i think every guitar has its own magic... but iamp;#180;ve read that the cort guitars are good...

Pretty convincing advertising.

I haven't played one in a long long time but every one I ever saw was beat up and in a pawn shop. I pretty much was convinced they were cheap pawn shop specials. That doesn't appear to be the case anymore though. I'd try 'em out if I could. I really like the look of the M Series.

The only ones I've ever played or just eyeballed for that matter, were IMO, one small step above a toy.

I went looking for a Jazz Bass copy a few months ago. After trying out a few entry-level models I ended up walking away with a Cort Action Bass. Although in terms of looks it didn't correspond to what I was initially after, it played better and had a wider range of sounds than the others at a similar price, including a couple of Squiers.

Great guitars! I put a JB in an old strat copy and it is awsome!

Some of them are good enough for their price. But the ones cheaper than 200$ are REAL junk

very good value. Wide range. I'd trust their acoustics more. Modders heaven. Can't say the name it'self is stunning, but then again quot;fenderquot;...

I had a Curbow bass that will soon be delivered to Wil, from back when I thought I was a bass player.

Versatile, comfortable, quality axe. quot;Luthitequot; is kind of nice.

You get what you pay for, which is more than can be said for some other brands

I've played several of their guitars over the past few years...from el cheapos to mid range. While some were better than others, they seemed perfectly acceptible to me. Excellent value for the money. I bought one of those Cort Triggs Chambered semi-hollow ricky type guitars for $100.00. Dropped a pair of Stew Mac Golden Age bcukers in it and it not only sounded very good, but played like a dream. I tried one of the tele clones and the damn thing weighed more than a Les Paul! It did play fairly good though. Their signature model like Matt Murphy and Hirum Bullock seem to get consistanltly great reveiws. I find the pickups and electronics in these to be lacking, but hey...they have to cut costs somewhere, so an electronics/pup upgrade MAY be necessary. As with all, ymmv.

Yes, but I can't remember which brand. I was jonesin' for a Cort Jazzer some time ago. It was super nice for about 500 bucks.
