I have just bought a set of SM-1 Vintage mini-humbuckers. I am replacing the stock humbuckers in my Aria Pro II CS-250.

Does anybody know where can I get the mini-humbucker mounting rings?

Or should I just try modify the std humbucker rings. The main problem is that the mounting holes are 3mm further apart on a std humbucker.

First, why do you want to replace a full size humbucker with a mini-hum?

Second, you're going to have a visible hole.

Third, I didn't see them on but I'd give them a call-800-848-2273

If you're trying to put minis into full blown Hb cavities I think you might have a problem with three solutions. The first involves putting your minis on Ebay, the second involves selling your guitar and buying another and the third involves filling the cavity it with some nice wood.

If you really want to do it and have the ability (or if you know to someone who does) you could make them out of some hard wood.

You should wait for someone more experienced to chime in but why do you want to replace normal pups with mini's in the first place?

Minis have the smoothest, creamiest, sound you've ever heard...mmmmmmmmm

well, at least on the Firebird V that is, lol.

This maybe a solution ? You'll have to cut up the adapter plate tho.

The Gibson mini-hums that I've had in every single one of my LP Deluxes have been high endy annoying pickups prone to squealing at loud volume or high gain.

but in this world, there is probably a place to get what you need.

Being an LP Deluxe owner i have replaced many different pickups in my guitar over the years. The gibson style of Mini mounting rings is meant for a P-90 rout... will not fit in a humbucker space with the Gibson style rings...... Plus with a Gibson style ring you drill the metal holes out on the duncans so the adjustment screw does not read into it.. just like a direct to wood mount. Then the adjustment screws have a nut on them and then you solder some solder on the nut so it can not back off.... in the bottom of the LP Deluxes rout is a metal insert that is treaded and the pickups screws sit in that.

Duncan on the other hand has threaded holes on their minis that can be used to mount them on pickguards...... If you want a mini in you humbucker guitar make your own plate or pickup ring out of plastic... LP Mini humbuckers are my favourite neck pickup!!!!! Really sweat!
