I discovered two desoldered lead in the JB I opened, so that explains why it didn't work.
Now I have the 2 coils facing me, each one with a black and a white wire sticking out.
Where do I go from now?
1) To which wire do I solder the red/green/white/black wire of the lead?
2) Do I have to solder the ground to the baseplate?
Thanks in advance for helping resuscitate a JB!
On slug coil
Black coil lead - Black cable lead
White coil lead - White cable lead
On screw coil
Black coil lead - Green cable lead
White coil lead - Red cable lead
Bare Ground conector
Solded to the baseplate.
This way it's stock wiring. That's the way my JB was wired.
Wow, that was fast... thanks a million Breogan!
yup, breo has it ... that is how i wired my pickup at UGD
did you note the proper orientation to install the magnet?

Thats such great info. I'm surprised its not in the SD FAQ's somewhere.
Thanks Breogan.
P.S. I think this is vault-worthy. Sort of a SD FAQ lite.
No problem for the magnet, I got a table for many PU brands.
But NOW I'M IN TROUBLE!!!!
The black lead on the slug coil broke! I removed the tape and the black lead sort of fell off the coil... How can I fix that??? Is this lead normally soldered to the end of the coil wire???
HELP!
My JB is on life support!!!!
