What is the best way to strip a guitar's finish?
I tried this recently on a crappy custom finish recently with some chemical paint stripper I bought at ace hardware and got very minimal results. Got high from fumes mostly and had to result to sanding.
I have a different guitar body that has a pretty thin solid black finish on it. What would be the best method to strip this? Im hoping that it has a decent wood grain underneath, so I can throw a clear finish/sealer for a natural look.
