ok so through all your expierenznces which one is better the SD distortion/jazz combo or the dimarzio super distortion/PAF combo
although I like dimarzio a lot, would have to go with duncan out of this choice
just wanderin cuz rhoads used them both, dimarzio's]in his polka dot V [i think?????]and SD's in his white RR.
I voted for the Duncan set-up. I actually prefer the Full Shred in the neck
with the Distortion in the bridge, but the Jazz would be my choice #2.
If you decide on the Dimarzio set, I would use the PAF for the neck, but I would replace the Super Distortion with the Super2 instead because I think the Super Distortion is too muddy and the Super2 is pretty much the same but with the muddy frequencies rolled off.
But even that set-up isn't as good as the Duncan set-up IMO.

Man, this is a forum, not a chat board! Could you please check your grammar, spelling, and use some punctuation? It's difficult to read your posts.
I'd have to say DiMarzio based on those pickup configurations, but as a whole, the SD range is much better as a whole.
there is no such thing as quot;BETTERquot; when it comes to pickups, only different!
one person may love pickup X while another hates it. it's all personal taste.

I can't vote in the poll as I like both sets. The Duncan set is to my ears more transparent sounding, the Duncan Distortion is high output but it seem like clean power that doesn't fuzz up your tone. The Dimarzio Super Distortion has a looser low end and adds some fuzz to the sound, I am in the same situation as I just got a Dean TC Caddy and the Dimarzio SD in the bridge isn't doing it for me and I am looking for a bridge bucker myself.
Pickups don't add fuzz....they just don't do it. I keep hearing this and it's simply not true.
My Wolfgang uses an ancient SuperDist, with the ceramic magnet removed for an old A5, from one of my dead JB's, the neck is my beloved APH-1.
Nothing wrong in mixing SD and DiMarzio
hands down the duncan set!
and not because this is a duncan forum but JUST BECAUSE that set slays the dimarzio's
Try out both sets in your rig and see for yourself. People on a discussion board might not feel the same way about tone that you do.

he is right!
what i like you may hate?
hearing for yourself is the best bet always!
but i can say this without it just being a opinion the duncans are much CLEARER and organic sounding than the DIMS
that is fact not opinion!
organic
that is a word like tone, or transparent..or all those other no meaning words
Let your own ears do their thing.

I would beg to differ. They're just different sounding pickups plain and simple. More organic sounding is really subjective....I always thought that was a weird term to describe pickup anyway...never understood that. And no, not all Duncans are clearer than Dimarzios.....I think that's a bit of a generalization. I've owned many pickups from both companies and I guess what I see is there are some Duncans that are clearer in some guitars over the Dimarzios and vice versa. I think it really depends on the gear and the rest of the rig to be able to determine what pickup will sound clearest.
NATURAL
Yeah but just how natural is a bunch of wires and a magnet really?
Heh
this wasn't easy ,... I've been using the super distortion for a long period of time.. great sounding pickup. stil loving the tight bottom of it...
had to sell it becouse I was looking for a low output pickup for the style I play with my band, it had to be more transparant ...
