How good are Orvilles? How would a 1987 Orville LP be?

Any thoughts?

what specific model? custom, standard? Orville by Gibson or Orville? regardless, I know those are very very nice guitars. If you have a decent price on one I would definately say get it!

Orville by Gibson are great...I have not read anything bad about the plain ol' Orvilles, either.

Don't they market them in the US now as the Epiphone Elites?

...ugly headstock though. looks like a nipple. And they're about to discontinue them from what I hear.

Orvilles are pretty much CIJ Gibsons. The quality and tone is very good, it just won't say quot;Gibsonquot; by itself on the headstock.
