Hell all, I am NOT impressed with these tuners, they are Gibson Deluxe.
What kind would you recommend? I like the Grover a LOT on my Agile but I need or want this cool green look or something SGish....
Can I use any 3 3 tuners or only certain kinds?
THANKS!
If you can’t do without the snot green, then a set of these grovers will do the trick. They have the vintage appearance, yet they are diecast and have a larger washer for added stability. I don’t know if you will have to resize the holes though…

hmmm i would guess they are close as far as the standard and special right?
i would really prefer not to have to drill out
i like these grovers though (i am playing my agile)
That gibson probably has the 10mm or ~25/64quot; diameter post holes. As long as the bushing is sized correctly you can use what you want. You may need to drill new mounting holes on the back but thats about it. The 135 and 136 series from grover use the 10mm holes and would replicate what is on there now very closely. Follow the link to the grover page and you can get more info on what they've got. The older looking ones are under quot;vintagequot; tuners. The romantic style tuners also use the 10mm post hole. These are on lots of gibsons as well.
I had a '93 LP with gibson deluxe tuners and tuning problems. I put on a set of 135N 3x3 grovers and cleaned up the problem. I'm remembering that holes on the back of the headstock lined up, but it's been a few years since I did this.

from : localhost/if the post holes are similar, I think I might ditch the stock tuners for the diecast Grover 135s. Thanks mate.
