Aright, so I've got a regular old SG; 2 humbuckers, 3 way switch, 4 pots.
What I want to do is make it so that I have a master volume, master tone, and the ability to split each pickup to varying degrees with the remaining 2 pots, so that 10 is full humbucking mode, and 0 is just one of the coils being used. I supposed that I would wire it up regularly, as if it were a master volume/master tone guitar, and then essentially just attach the red and white wires to the same terminal on a spare pot. That way, when at 0, the connection from the red and white wires isn't factored into the signal, and just the signal from the start coil get through.
Will this work the way I want it?
Thanks for any comments/critiques,
Jacob
You're diagram looks good to me. Should work great.
You may want to make those quot;no-loadquot; pots so that they're completely out of the circuit quot;offquot;. But you can try it first, without doing that. It may not be a problem.
