I'm puttin together a project kramer pacer right now, just bought the new neck off of ebay (warmoth). The body is in the beginning phases of getting finished, its gonna be a vintage cream, and all the hardware is black (including the OFR, of course).

So, I'm lookin at pickups, and I'm lookin at an original parrallel axis trembucker for the bridge, and a pair of duncan five-twos for the neck and middle. This sound like a good, balanced combination?

id go with tapped quarter pounders in the middle and neck...a little more output with the ability to drop some of the output. artietoo uses these...maybe he'll stop by.

I have the 5/2's neck and middle in my alder strat and am going to put the Origanal in the bridge too. I think that the 5/2's are a very nice and smooth pups. I like them because they have a little more warmer tone then glassy, but still sound chimy. With the Original in the bridge it shoud give you a good bite there.

Will you have a seperate volume for the bridge?

Tyler

yup, its routed for 3 pots and a mini-switch, so im thinkin 500K bridge volume 250K neck middle volume. As for the master tone, I'm thinkin I'll go with a 500K. Coil-tap mini toggle for the bridge and it'll all be cool.

Sounds good. I hope I will have my TB-1 next week.

The PATB-1 is a killer pickup. I love it in my strat. Not to hot, but enough kick to keep things going. Really fattens up the sound quite a bit. Underrated pickup for sure! I have mine wired with a 500k pot and a split switch too - mine is a three way so it's (one coil)(both)(other coil) and despite being the same, the coils give off surprisingly different tones (due to the difference in location I suppose)

I'll keep that in mind, I dont have a mini toggle yet, so i'll probably get a 3 way. thanks for the advice!
