I installed a brodcaster in the bridge of my Gamp;L Tele, and it is very noisey,I reversed the wires and now it stopped the ground noise, but when I do both PUP,s it is out of phase naselly,
Any opinions on what to do?
I get the best tone when I have the ground reveresed But noise on the bridge pUP is Bad

Black should go to ground and white should go to the switch.

You can reverse them but you'll make the pickup hot so that it buzzes when you touch the strings or bridge.

If you can touch your strings without the pickup buzzing, then you probably have it wired correctly NOW.

But if it's out of phase with the neck pickup you'll have to reverse the black and white wires of the neck pickup and also remove the neck pickup and move the uninsulated ground wire underneath the pickup from the terminal it's connected to now (should be the black) to the other terminal instead. Otherwise when you touch the nickel cover of the neck pickup it'll buzz.

Thanks Lew,I did wire it Black to grund and white to switch that stops the noise, but it is out of phase when both are on.

When I wire black to switch and white to ground, noise is high but then both pickups are sounding good, and lead PUP sounds great.

So that wiring is correct but you mention to do wire at front PUP is that correct?
Thanks

Yes: black to ground and white to the switch is correct.

But if that's out of phase with your neck pickup you need to reverse the wires on the neck pickup as I described. If you need to make the white ground on the neck pickup you will have to remove the neck pickup and move the ground wire that is connected to the pickup cover under the pickup to the white wire's terminal on the pickup instead. Otherwise it will buzz when you touch the cover.

You could have done that on the bridge pickup to solve the buzz, but removing the bridge pickup on a tele to switch the ground wire undeneath the pickup is alot more time consuming than doing that to the neck pickup instead.

Very Much Thanks Lew
