Do '65 blackface deluxes normally go for about 1100 dollars?

wouldn't surprise me, although I haven't priced them lately

I'd suggest checking Ebay for current street prices - just check to see what they really sell for, as opposed to what they're listed at

I don't want to give the wrong impression, I have no money, I just was just wondering.

To be honest you'd be doing good to grab an early SF Deluxe reverb for $1100.00...a BF hovers in that 1500.00-2000.00 range these days...I have actually seen them priced for sale at over 3000.00!

If someone offer me a BF deluxe for $1100. My 1st question would be... Whats wrong with it?

used Deluxes have commanded high prices for years, as one of the most desirable vintage amps - especially the BF amps

Fender realized the market, which is why the Deluxe Reverb was one of the first vintage reissues

TGWIF is right - the best deals on DRs are SF amps, especially early ones that can be more easily quot;blackfacedquot;

Is it a Deluxe or Deluxe Reverb? If it is a DR, it's a steal (assuming it's reasonably original).

I have a 1965 non-reverb Deluxe.... I grabed it for $300 Canadian in nonworking order.... It's a bit beat up too... had the original speaker in it and i think pretty much everything was original! I took it in for repairs and they retubed it.... had some more trouble shortly after and they said it was a capsitor that was allowing high voltage to leak to a tube and the new tubes was burnt out after only a few hours use.... The amp would get HOT!!!! anyways i they replaced a lot of caps and stuff inside the amp and my total investment so far has been around $700 Canadian including the price of buying it..... But i need to take it to a better tech as the guy i was using is not the best for tube amp repairs.... He is great at solid state....
