So the other day i went to a guitar shop and picked up some SPB-3's and all new pots and wiring. I got the whole thing installed and working but i have a question, are teh pickups supposed to be attached or connected to the pickup covers somehow and are they supposed to come with some sort of risers so i can adjust the height of the pickups? Btw this is for an old Squier P-Bass. The old pups in there and others i have seen are all encased as one piece with foam (sponge?) risers. if you could let me know how to adjust the height or if they were supposed to come with something to adjust height that would be great, cause right now they flush with the pick guard and i tend to like my pup's pretty high up.
