Yes.
The difference between US Fenders and Deluxe models is less clear, but I'd venture to believe that they're a step up, based on the one's I've owned or played.
Then, you move up to the Custom Shop models, which Fender uses the the top shelf wood for, the wood and attention to detail increases.
No matter what, you get what you pay for with Fender, and most guitar makers.
The lines get blurred with certain models, but it's pretty consistent otherwise.
If it weren't the case, people wouldn't pay $2500 for some strats or teles, while others are $250 or $850. The longer you play every guitar in the Fender line, the more you come to believe that it's true.
