Hi all,
i wonder if a Fender Pro Junior would handle a 212 cabinet with
two eminence GB12 (each 16 ohms in parallel, equals 8 ohms )
The combo provides 15 W, which is fine for practice and small gigs.
I want to use the 212 cab (instead of the internal 10quot; spkr) sometimes
to get it louder if needed.
Due to the cabs impedance is the same as the original speaker (8 ohms)
it should be fine for my understanding.
Due to i'm quite new to tube amps, i would like to know your view
regarding this setup. Can i put the little buddy at risk with my 212 cab,
or can i crank it up without worries ?
Thanks
Martin
Should be fine. The impedances match up perfectly so it's actually ideal.

ok, i'll give it a try.
How the amp drives the 212 is anyway an experiment.
It should be easy that way to get nice power amp distortion.
I wonder if i achieve louder clean-sound aswell with the 212 cab,
which i also need.
I think you'll be pleased with the small amp -gt; big cabinet setup. In general, a 2-12 cabinet will be more efficient than a single 10, so it will actually be louder then the combo. In than respect, it may actually be easier on your amp, if you turn it down to compensate.
Certainly, it will make it sound more like a quot;realquot; amp. There are a lot of small, cheap tube amps out there that simply come to life if given a decent speaker.
