I finally got the cash to replace the 57/62 middle pup in my Strat with an SSL-1. Is it worth the extra money for a RW/RP and if I get the RW/RP will it sound the same as a regular SSL-1? Sorry if this has been covered but I didn't find it when I searched.....and I've never used a RW/RP. Thanks

The only difference is that in positions 2 and 4 (assuming the stock wiring) the pickups will cancel hum. I never use 2 and 4 so right now it's still stock, but if you love 2 and 4 then I think it's 100% worth it. (BTW- I thought it was the same price?)

Thanks....its like a 12 - 15 dollar increase for the rw/rp... I think I'll go for it!

Go for the RW/RP SSL-1!
As a stand alone PUP it is a standard SSL-1 but in 2 and 4 it cuts the hum, always a good thing for the front of house tech.
