I'll give a detailed review later, but I took some pics right away. Let me say right off the bat this guitar blows away all the gibsons and PRS guitars I've ever played. Carvin struck gold with this model. I wanted to go kind of easy on the wallet too, but I didn't spare expense on options, just saved money by going with a painted finish. Grand total came just shy of $950.
Specs:
Pearl White
Jumbo Frets, abalone dot inlays, ebony fretboard
25quot; scale
sperzel tuners
Mahogany neck and body.
I wanted something classy and simple that would sound and play well. Nothing super fancy, just solid. Soon to have Duncans and chrome pickup rings.

soon as I spend some time evaluating the sound. The Carvin pickups aren't bad at all, but nothing to write home about either. One thing I can say is the attention to detail is stunning, fretwork, finish, etc, all perfect. It was even set up perfectly and in tune right out of the case.
That's GORGEOUS bro! I love white guitars, and have often thought about ordering a similar beast from Carvin. Enjoy that one man, it's killer.
If it souns and play as good as it looks, it gotta be a killer!!
Like the versions with string thrugh the body. Looks classy.
Let us know what it souns like. Congrats, mr.!!
Freakin amazing...Looks gorgeous. Only thing I'd change is the hardware to gold, and that Ebony looks pretty grainy to me.

I decided not to go gold on it, and I'm glad I picked the pearl white over the classic white. The ebony is actually very dark and smooth, it's just that I had it in direct sunlight when I took the picture of the fretboard.
Nice
I wanna try one of those, and one of the 7 string models.. and the Allan Holdsworth one too..
You can never find any Carvins over in the UK though!
Classy, I'm happy you found something worth keeping this time.

Yeah I think I'm going to stick to the custom route, a la carvin, warmoth, usacg, etc. That way I get exactly what I want and nothing I don't. I'm pretty picky.
Congrats, Xeromus!
She's a real beauty.
And,
WELCOME TO THE CARVIN CLUB!!!!!
Now you've just gotta play catch up!

Nice. The electronic layout is my favorite for HH guitars......just like my McCarties.
It's so nice having the volume there, with the 3 way back there. Then, when you switch pickups, you just swipe your pinky over it, and return to playing position.
I'm used to the Gibson layout too, but the PRS McCarty and your Carvin have the best layout.

Yeah I was surprised. I thought the toggle switch being way over there would be clumsy but it's directly in the path of your hand if you swing it down, it's very practical.
schwing bro! looks killer. Serious axeage.
How long did it take you to get yours? I ordered a DC747 back in the middle of march, said it would be done by may 5th, but i havent heard anythin yet. Was yours behind schedule?

Mine was actually done a couple of days ahead of schedule. Completion date was 5-2 and I got it today. I ordered mine mid-march also.
