I've only tried one brand - the one I have now. Its an Audio Technica 3000 series I got from guitar center. This is a very good unit and I highly recomend it. It costs $300, but I think it was well worth it. I compared this model to serval others in this price range before buying and I think this one was best.

I checked out others that attached to your guitar like the Samson and Guitar Bug, and those worried me cuz if something broke, the enitre unit would be useless.

The AT has true diversity and 10 selectable channels.

The AT body pack can also be used for a mic.

2 AA batteries in the body pack lasts for approx 10 hours.

I've had zero problems with the AT. No noise, no drop outs, and no change in tone. I'm very pleased with this system. Customer service has been go to me too. One day I broke one of the antennas on the reciever. I emailed AT about it and they sent be a new one for free. It arrived within 5 days...

I haven't had much experience with other systems, as I said, this is the first and only sysem I've tried, but the AT has been used everyday for the past 2 years with absolutly no problems. I highly recommend this...
