Hi, everyone. I hope I did not do something stupid....

I just installed a 59 neck version (SH-1N) in my Ibanez RG-570. Apparently this is a pre-2002 seymour duncan pickup because the words quot;quot; do not appear in silver on the outside of the pickup, bummer...

Because of the missing silver words, I was unsure how to orient the pickup. As you know there are two rows on a humbucker: (1) one is flat, the other (2) has grooves for a screwdriver. I was unsure if the grooves go above the flats or vice versa. I decided that the grooves should be on top.

I have a picture to clarify what I mean. In the picture I put a red arrow next to the grooves and photographed the other pickups on the guitar to provide perspective and orientation (also you can see my Duncan Distortion TB-6 is newer b/c it has the words quot;quot; on it...):I am very happy with the sound, however. The 59 has an awesome acoustic sound and a great distorted solo sound. I would like to thank all those who recommended the 59 for the neck position.

By the way is there any tonal difference between pre-2002 quot;59quot; pickups (w/ no logo) and post 2002 quot;59quot; pickups?

The 59 doesn't have the words on it. You installed it right, with the screws closest to the neck.

Thanks Jeff!

I appreciate the help!

Have a great night....

You too!

Y tu mamá, tambien!

what is quot;Y tu mama, tambienquot; supposed to mean?
Babelfish translation says it means: quot;and your breast alsoquot;....

???!@#$???

he missed the accent, its like this : quot;mamáquot;

y tu mamá también . gezz dude use accents.

it means quot;and your mom tooquot;.

I had a feeling he mean and your mother too... strange...
