Is someone ever gonna tell this assweed that there are NO SCALLOPS on this thing? And I've never heard of a company called quot;G-ibsonquot;

Anyone else think this looks sorta nasty? Those frets don't look too healthy. And I can definitely see those scalloped frets .
Holy crap! I didn't think it was gonna be that huge.

At least two out of the three frets pictured there has got to be something wrong with.

looks like he did a fret-levelling job with an angle grinder

wearing boxing gloves

hell, apart from the frets, i like that guitar! he's definitley onto something with the 89/89 set.. and at least it aint an OLP

tom

I sent him a message asking what happened to frets 17-20, and that I sure didn't see any scalloped frets .

lol by the look of it, he's scalloped the fret itself

where's that 'SCALLOPWNED' pic?! that never fails to make me laugh

tom

thats the one

send the guy that!

tom

The neck is shimmed (i.e., re-enforced) with maple

Upper frets scalloped (i.e., shaved down for more speed)

This guy needs a dictionary of luthier terms. Shimming a neck does not quot;reinforcequot; it, and sanding down a couple of frets does not mean they are scalloped.

Ryan

Not to mention that nasty line at the back of the headstock which has me straching my head

take a lot

from : localhost/looks like someone has been broken, or at least has a pretty nasty gouge.

EDIT: The more I look the less it looks like a fixed break, maybe he had it resting against something sharp and it left a nasty scratch on it? Either way, I don't recall him pointing that out in the listing...

I've never heard of a S-trat or a L-es P-aul either.

Maybe G-ibson makes them?

I wonder if a hyphen is enough to keep you from getting you a-uction p-ulled by Fe-nder?

i wonder if he had a slight scallop.. then had the fingerboard radius changed... those frets look horrible

I don't see any kind of scallop, I'm wondering if maybe he had a refret done on the axe and it was just done poorly?

I'm guessing the line at the back of the neck is from the Re-Carving of the neck ... *Shudder*

Ryan also pointed out that the seller is stupid ... There is no scalloping, the seller thinks the lowering of the frets means quot;Scallopingquot;

He's only 3 hours away from me... I should go check the guitar out and set him straight

That's probably it...
