Dont laugh....Lotus Les Paul....this thing is a solid chunk of wood, no plywood...looks like mahogony. It was pretty jacked when I got it, broken bridge...rusty chrome...non working. I rebuilt it this evening with some new gold hardware, winder pegs, some new pups and knobs...and a little extra deal on the headstock(lol).
This thing rings like a MFer.......very toneful and wide open chords, very cool for the little cash I have in it.
I also picked up a wine red Gibson Les Paul Studio, but this one is more fun right now.
Can we get a picture of it from the back, as well as a closeup of the side of the body?
Its about 2 inches thick, flat ...and a bolt neck. No more pics for now.
Dude, that is one sweet looking guitar! I almost wish I could have found something like that to fix up and spend the rest of the money toward a strat. Real cool.. how are the frets? Mind I ask how much you gave for it?
Wow, that thing looks very kool after your mods, I'm sure it sounds good too!
What pickups did you put in?

That's weird.. I don't see how that neck could be bolted on. Does it just have a long heal or does the fretboard hang over?

You can see in the first pic that the fretboard hangs over a bit.
Rock On!
I gave 75 bucks for it and I have about 40 in parts, that I recently bought (bridge/tail/tuners)
The pups are from my epi custom...the bridge sounds great, but the neck sucks.
The frets are perfect as is the neck....there are a few scratches to the body....but noting severe.
Not a bad looking guitar at all for that price. Pretty cool.
Sweet deal. Nice cleanup job too. It reminds me of Gibson's quot; The Paulquot;. Since you've cleaned it up it just has this quot;play mequot; look to it. Great steal, I mean deal.
Think from this lotus - Gibson prototype there could come a new guitar
The guitar player in my first band had one like that, but it was black. A friend had a Lotus that looked like their own take on the LP Special DC shape. It was probably their top of the line, and it was a no-excuses good guitar.

I agree. If they truly patterned it after The Paul, it'll be walnut.
I've seen some really cool used LP knock offs lately.... One used older one i saw they wanted $300 for and i played it a bit and it felt great and 10 times better then the new Epi's.... Forget the name but it even looked exactly like a Gibson.... wish i could of bought it but one of the guys that works at the store grabbed it before i could..
