Hi guys

Its me again. giving nothing but stupid questions.
However i would really appreciate it because there is this guy selling a couple of this amps away, which is both the Fender twin amp and the hot rod deluxe. And either one is cheaper than the JCM 900 and 2000.

I know that the JCM900 is older than the 2000, but given a situation like this is a total dilema problem. I checked out the Fender twin amp and its clean is solid like a rock, didn't try out the OD though. Neither did I manage to check out the hot-rod deluxe.

The conclusion is that ALL of the amps u/m are ALL VALVE. So its a win win situation. I kindda like the sound of the Fender twin amp though, I'm using LPs and I always have this feeling that if I wanna use a Fender amp, i might as well get a USA strat and jam with it.

Well ... the table it open to all and please .. THROW IT OUTTTTTT at me will YA ??? THanks

How loud do you need to play? I ask this because all of the amps you mentioned are very hefty amps.

I play through a 4x12quot; stereo rig powered by a Mesa 50/50 power section. The other guitarist in my band has no trouble keeping up with me while using a Fender 65RI Twin.

You didn't mention what model twin ? Regardless, I've used Twins and Marshalls thru out the years. All great amps! But now my main gigger is a HRDx. It's lighter than all of the above and loud enuff. I don't bother with the OD channels. Just a few good pedals and I'm good to go. Need some more thump from the HRDx? You can sit it on a 4x12 cab that's wired for 8 ohms and run the HRDx a 4 ohms.

I think I'd personally go with the twin. Sweet clean tones. Get some pedals and you're good to go. A few years back I was thinking of getting a single channel fender amp and using a Mesa V-Twin pedal for the distortion, I still wonder how that would have worked. Oh well. What type of music do you play, ect?
Also, don't just asume you have to get a fender with a fender amp.

Hey ... thanks guys for the input there

I play bluez, rock and country stuff. you listen to scorpions, GnR(old times), deep purple, aerosmith kindda music and i write my own songs also. I'm looking for the amp that suits these and .. i'm abit pain in the neck cuz I'm also brand bias.

well, I started a thread on the marshall jcm900. so i thought i could stick to that, but when i heard that the fender hot rod or twin amp was another to reckon with.. well I guess i just gotta ask the reviews of those who own 'em and whats the outcome.

so, guess I'll just stick with the 1st choice which is the jcm900 ? otherwise I would regret getting a fender. cuz i heard that the tubes in the jcm gets real hot until the wiring falls off and its spoils and stuff like that while the reviews i gotten from the fenders are nothing of the sort.

Sometimes being a peon in tubes amp is a real headache. sorry guys
