im working on custmizing one of my old guitars, the first one i ever got. this is the first time ive tinkered with anything on a guitar so need some help with choosing pick ups and the wiring. i want to put a set of seymour duncan pick ups on it cause everone says their good that i talked to. i was wonder if i purchased a seynour duncan pick up does it come with the volumne knob tone knob and all the wiring. im asking this caus ei looked at some emg pick ups and they come with all that stuf and some other stuff as well and im not sure if semour duncan pick ups come with all that stuf to or if i need to purchase it seperately.

The only Duncans, that I know of, that come with pots are the Live Wires. They're active pups, which are probably what the EMGs were that came with them. The passive Duncans all come with enough leads to make your connections, but the pots and switches are up to you. You can use what you've got, or we can help you find some upgrades or replacements.

thanks a lot....im deffinetely in for new pick ups but ill need the volume and tone nobs as well since i ripped everthing ut of the old guitar. so what do you recomend for a good hevy rock tone and also some nice clean tones...im leaning more towards the heavy rock tone

What kind of guitar do you have? Also, what amp/effects/etc are you playing through?

the guitar i will be fixing up is an aria. i am goin t be playing through a either a fender 25r or a crate. i also use the boss me-30, ds-1, cs-3 and im planning on getting noise gate.

Does it have single coils? Humbuckers? P90s? A combination?

it had single coils in it but i want to put in 2 humbuckers

please a little help with what i need
