My WD pickup rings are just a tad bigger/wider than the stock Gibson pickup rings. Now my store has to order them from Gibson and they said they don't know how long it will take, knowing Gibson. Just frustrating is all and had to vent. I was changing them to cream from black on my tobacco burst LP, so now I'll have to leave the black one's on for now.
If it was me, I'd just order a set from stew-mac.com and have done.
Everything ive ordered from them has been first rate and arrived in 2 days standard shipping.
I'm not fond of buying aftermarket parts. They can never outright copy the original, so there's usually some headache involved. I hate paying more for Fender CS parts or Gibson parts, but at least those are guaranteed to fit perfectly.
In my experience, almost all pickup rings have a different screw locations and different dimensions. Not just WD.
Guess it's one of those quot;lessons learnedquot; deals that are pretty constant in this hobby!
A local shop stock genuine Gibson ones. I could broker a deal for you, probably faster if your dealer has to order them...
Let me know...
I got a pickguard from WD for my strat and it fit great. It was a little bigger than the stock one, as it was really tight up against the bridge, but after I screwed it in it was perfect.
