Very Pretty..but I'm not sure I'd like the tone on that thing.... too much maple, an ebony board, and a Tp6 bridge. Talk about quot;thinquot;.
You know you want it, i accept souls for guitars....
A reason Why you wouldnt want it... um...
You can see where the 3 peices are put together and therefore would be afraid because you know where it will break if anything hits it...
sorry that the best I got.
I'm normally a stickler for seeing stuff like that too (If i see the line where they bookmatched a quilt or flame top I immediately dismiss it). It is also wierd because I think the V/2 is fugly as hell with the contours.
I'm actually in negotiations for a payment plan with the guy now, hopefully it works out. All my Ebay purchases are of stuff I wasn't expecting to buy (Was looking for a Peavey XXX when I found my single recto, and was looking for a Fat Strat when I found my Showmaster), and then I see it, it feels right, I immediately go for it, and it's perfect. Happened with my acoustic, my showmaster, my mesa, let's hope #4 is good.

in woodworking proper glue joints are sturdier than the wood itself. Just try breaking quality furniture. It never breaks at the joints. Many (most) guitar bodies aren't one piece.... it's just usually less visible
nice try though

Just making the final decision on whether to go ahead with it. I've worked out a deal where I'm paying more, but I get to make payments for 6 months. I offered to pay more for the inconvenience. Right now it's 300 down and 300 for 6 months.
I'm sure this is right for me. I'm not worried about being bright as my amp is a Mesa Single Rectifier (Known for bass/low end), and a Splawn 4x12 (Also know for bass/low end). It should balance out nicely, and pickups can fix whatever I can't get from the stock ones.
I should have my decision by thursday. Any suggestions/comments let me know as this is a big one for me.
I hate to say it man, but pickups and amp won't change the natural tone of the guitar. I found that out the hard way with my RR-1.
Aye I was afraid of that. If only mahogany was that light color. I still haven't made the final decision. It's kind of a it feels so right but the facts tell me it's wrong sort of things.

I've played one of those exactly. Thanks to the Dirty Fingers, the tone is as thick as any Les Paul but with an amazing bite. I say go for it if you can afford it! It will hold it's value.
How did it play? Can you compare the sound to anything. All I know is I was meant to have a guitar like this whether I have to have it custom built, or something.
I googled around and found an Ad for one of these without electronics for $650. Problem is I don't know how old the ad is (I replied to it asking to be responded to ASAP). It sounded like it was like this one, and after electronics I would still end up saving over $1,000 dollars.
seems like a lot of money for something that if not for the year wouldnt be a big deal...
