Hi guys!
Hum...I think some of you will perhaps me, because my question is a bit...stupid, anyway:
what is the difference between a TB5 and a SH5? Is there a sound difference? Is it true that the TB5 is just for Floyd trem and co, althought SH5 is for no trem guitars????
Thxxxx! (I feel shameful, loool!)
apparently the trembucker is for trem-equipped guitars. that's about it although some said that the tb is wound hotter for a thicker tone to compensate the inherent brightness of trem-equipped guitars.
Correct. The difference is that the TB-5 is designed for a string spacing of 2quot; or more and the SH-5 is traditionally spaced. There is no tonal difference.
Welcome!
Here is something from the SD FAQ:
from : localhost//support...tml#trembucker
As far as I know there is no difference in sound. The different bridge types (trem, hard tail....) will of course affect the overall tone.
Thxxxx men!!!!!
