I'd like to sell my Hardtail, and replace it with one of these. However, $2k is way out of line for these.

, kinda. Those guitars looks AMAZING!!! Yet, I agree, 2k is big chunk o' change...

I have to say, those things rub me the wrong way. They just look....odd.

BUT I picked one up the other day. I can't deny the fact that they play and feel awesome.

I picked up one of the solid mahogany USA hardtails a while back. The V neck really got on my nerves. I was also not impressed with the fit and finish. There was a bunch of glue visible all over the neck joint. I'll stick with my Hamers, thank you.

So... what the hell is it?

I use to not like it...... but it grew on me there nice but the body is shaped kinda weird, in a good way! The brown one look like it has bottle caps for knobs though thats kinda retarded. haha

i thought the blue 1 was yours. what color is the one you have?

But when it comes to short scale, tune-o-matic, mahogany/maple guitars, Hamers are the way for me to go. Of course, this is coming from the guy who has 3 Charvel 750cl's.

Dean Hardtails

Looked like Spalted Maple HamerPlyr.....you know, that's considered a disease in the tree, but I think it looks cool as hell !

I'd love to have either one of those. I've got a love/hate thing going on with my Dean Hardtail right now...but both of those are gorgeous.

I've got a Vintage Cherry Sunburst finish on mine right now. I'm just jonesing for a different finish. Yes, spalted maple in the 2nd pic. Faded Denim is the finish in the first. Problem is, the hardtails that are selling on eBay are in the $1100-1300 range. But people are asking $1900-2400 for these nice finishes. I'm not paying $1000 to upgrade colors.....I'm just going to whine about it.

Don't tempt me. That's my only gripe about the quality of the Hardtail....it's not a nitro finish....and they run 2k new.

I think a quality guitar like that looks like **** without neck binding. The rest of it is perfect but the lack of binding is unacceptable. That's why I'll never buy a PRS...if I'm going to through down that much cash on one guitar it better look perfect.
