sorry but i'll be ordering a set of pickups in zebra soon. I know that there's zebra and REVERSE zebra. And i don't know which is the one I want. I want something tt'll give me this colour combination from neck to bridge, creme/black (neck) and (black/creme). so how do I order it? reverse zebra zebra!?!?! Sorry for such a dumb qns.

which is the screw coil? are they the outer coils? pardon my ignorance but what are the differences between screw coils and pole pieces?

The good old zebra versus rev. zebra confusion.

According to Duncan, zebra = creme screw coil and black slug coil.

But many (other than Duncan folk) refer to that combination as the reverse zebra, as 50's zebra PAF's generally came with black screw coil and creme slug coil. At least that's what they say was more common.

The screw coil si the coil with the adjustable screw! Pretty simple, huh?

Hey repulse in zebra the screw coil wld be the cream and stud coil black. what Artie said is correct u want to go in for the Zebra , where u wld have a cream coil facing the bridge on the bridge pickup amp; cream coil facing neck on the neck pick up.Oh yes and no Q is dumb!

The top two pickups in the link you provided are zebra, the bottom two are reverse zebra.

Screw coils creme = zebra
