My Warmoth body just came into day. and i just got everything put together

VIP (prs style body)
Swamp Ash body w/ mahogany cap
Tone Chambers
p90 neck, humbucker bridge
2 volume, lp 3way switch
tune-o-matic bridge and tail peice
finished in inca silver
tummy cut

maple neck w/ rosewood board
locking tuners

SD- Vintage p90b in the neck
SD- Dimebucker in the bridge
chrome knobs and hardware

dunlop strap locksI just set it up with some GHS CL string... light w/ extra light b and high e

this guitar is very light! since its about midnight i cant really plug it in but it sounds fantasitic unpluged! the paint on it is very thin and it resonates well. the sustain is nice too. very punchy but a full sound. i cant wait to plug it in!
its so nice... the neck is fantastic it has the fat back on it.... its plays so so good! i really want to plug it in but the people that are asleep probably wont like that too much.

A Dimbucker and a P90? Hmmmm... Sounds cool, what is it, 25.5quot; scale?

yes its a 25.5 scale... the neck is so fast tooo... i cant get over it.

the dimebucker/p90 combo is killer!

wow what an odd combo of woods and pickups...that's something i would do lol...i love trying out ideas most would think are crazy...where did you get the idea for a swamp ash mahogany cap chambered body? and a p-90 and a dimebucker...odd combo too but heck i use a tele hotrails with an sm-1 vintage mini hum in the neck of one of my teles and it's my hands down favorite guitar it can do it all from metal to blues to clean with no problem...i guess your combo of pickups can do the same. very cool guitar and material combos! i like the plain silver finish on a PRS style body also...it's nice to see flame tops and quilt etc etc but the nice and clean all silver body looks great! nice work! enjoy it!

my last few guitars i have been trying to get my guitar to sound right between a strat and a paul, but leaning to the strats a bit. i like the pickups in gibsons better and the hardware. i like the strat body shape, access to the upper frets, neck joint, and contours, but i like the carved top on the pauls and the neck profiles. i don't ever really use the tone knob so i just went with 2 volumes. i was a little worried that an all swamp ash body would be to bright so i went with a mahogany cap with that and the pups it gets me between a strat and a paul really well. also the mahogany smoothes out the swamp ash a bit. the neck was the same way i was afraid an all maple neck was going to be to bright so i put some rosewood on there to smooth it out a bit. listening to the newer greenday cd's i fell in love with the p90 sound... and the dimebucker is my all time favorite bucker so i had to put it in there. its been in everyone of my guitars so far so it had to go in this one too. with the finish i've grown really tired of all the flames around. and cream and silver looked really good to me so that is what i went with.

to me this was a perfect marriage of the two guitars and it was new and different. i haven't seen a guitar like this so that was a plus, but it was mostly done for the tone and playability i was wanting.

I was actually thinking of doing the opposite: mahogany body with a swamp ash cap! You can look at it from two different perspectives: the swamp ash cap won't be as bright as maple, getting rid of some of the harshness. Another way to look at it is that I want something that sounds like my swamp ash strat, but with more bottom. But that's two projects from now...

i thought about doing that too... and have it finished in a clear.. .but i think it was more expensive. dont remeber.
