Maybe its just my fatigued ears, but I have found that setting the polepieces on the JB in the traditional style (to match the radius of the fretboard) does not work well with the JB (at least on my custon 22 PRS)!! If I raise the middle two polepieces and lower the B and high E strings, the string to string volume is ok, but the treble strings get real thin sounding. Raise them a little and they fatten up, but can get a little too loud - its driving me nuts!! Any suggestions??

I'd say this is your subjective taste... same thing like pup height... mess around and find what you like

That's about it...what other way is there except to just keep messing around until you've found a tone you can live with so you can forget all that BS and just play?

Oh - aint that the truth!! This type of quot;tweakingquot; can drive you crazy...

I swear though, the JB is a finicky animal when it comes to height adjustments. So far I have ascertained that the closer to the strings the better its sounds - lowering it thins the sound out a bit.

But - I like the JB, I dont regret swapping out my PRS Dragon II's.

...and the dealer I purchased it from was a pretty cool guy as well!
