Okay so I take my guitar to college a lot and practice in between classes and before my lesson. I can't really hear my electric guitar acoustically. Does anyone make a pocket sized amp modeler with headphones I can just throw in my guitar case and run on batteries? It doesn't even have to sound great, just work.

anyone?

Thanks marin, I just ordered the top one, ampworks, for $50. Not bad at all. Pandora is too pricey and more than I need.

I remember seeing this Ipod gizmo that would let you jam along to your ipod.

Hey, X. I have an Ampworks and it serves the purpose that you're wanting it for and not much more. I'm not crazy about most of the modeling that they've done, but you get what you pay for for $50. That's how much I paid, too. I hope you dig it.

Yeah that's fine, as long as it makes sound, runs on batteries and has headphone jacks I'm happy. I have a guitarport and two amps I'm happy with for everything else.

here's one from 1996: a zoom 7010. it also comes with a small speaker. there's one on ebay right now(i'm not the seller).Man, I remember that Zoom... I wanted one so bad when I first started... lol I ended up with a 505. (And I still use the 505 to play through headphones. I need a POD. )

I don't know if they still sell them, but Tom Scholz used to make a quot;Rockmanquot; series of pocket amps. Kinda like quot;Walkmansquot;, but for guitar. A friend had one and it was killer sounding.
