OK i have been working on installing a Floyd Rose bridge i own on a strat and i found that i need an R2 nut size... My nut i have is an R4 and does not work on the skinnier neck width... 12 years ago when i bought my Floyd Rose Original i had a choice of ordering the locking nut with 2 different styles... One is the older way of drilling holes thru the back of the neck for machine screws.... the newer way at the time was to have a nut with 2 little wood screws... (Kind of like Jackson does ontheir floyd copy nuts...) I ordered the R2 nut from Warmoth but i'll have to dill thru the neck for the machine screws.... In the future do you guys know of any suppliers that carry the FRO nuts but with little the wood screws?
And does any one know of an aftermarket supplier that would carry a Floyd nut to fit a Wolfgang neck?

I'd hate to say it, but Ed Roman is good to buy Floyds from. I ordered a Floyd Rose Pro, and it included the through the neck bolts as well as the wood screws to mount the nut. The nut is the same, it's just a matter if the screws are included
Surprise: any floyd nut can be top mounted
The newer ones (post about 1987) have countersunk mounting holes that are threaded for quot;Thru-neckquot; mounting like on Ibanez guitars but can be also used with flat-heat wood screws from the top like on Jacksons (not just imports).
You don´t really think Schaller makes 30 different Floyd nuts, do you? 15 is enough

Cool! If i don't have to drill the holes right thru the neck i'm not going to.... I wonder if Warmoth will ship my R2 nut with the little wood screws..? I can find some no problem but i hope they ship the nut with it... Funny part is i also ordered a Gotoh Modern Tele bridge... that Bridge was $37usa and the Floyd Nut alone was $37usa.. Also ordered some fingerboard dots for some necks i'm making. Stewmac wanted $47usa for the same tele bridge i got from Warmoth for $37... Can't wait to get that modern 6 saddle bridge on my tele and try it out...

Hey Zerberus... Question about my Imported 1994 Jackson Reverse Dinky's floyd posts.... when i had this Jacksons trem taken off and a FRO added they pulled out the old posts and used the new FRO studs.... Now that i have taken that FRO off that guitar i have added the cheap Jackson copy back to the guitar.. Instead of pulling the post inserts out of body i have ordered some new Floyd Original posts in black and will swap them out for the chrome ones that are left in the Jackson....
Question... The original posts that the Jackson had for it's floyd were not as large.... smaller area for the Knife edge to sit on..... Do you think using the FRO studs with the Jackson trem will hurt the knife edges over time? The bridge seems to move as freely as it once did on the smaller posts..... If worse comes to worse i can pull the stud inserts out and glue in a smaller set of Floyd posts i got from stewmac...
