ok, just wandering what this does for the playablitly of the guitar? why do people do it?

there have been a few threads here about it. it forces you to use a lighter touch, so you have more economy of movement. it also allows some pretty large bends, and feels nothing like big frets. just don't attempt to do it yourself.

i wasnt planning to have my frt board scalloped, just wandering what it does for the playabilty for the guitar

Man i wish someone would give me that neck so i could take that fingerboard off and glue a new one on to do it right..... That is if it's, sorry was a good neck.. I see Warmoth's Thrift spart of their web site has a few Scolloped strat necks near the last page..... been thinking of trying one... i love super huge frets!!!! I would like to try these scolloped necks just to see if it's for me or not.
