Hi, Its a Telecaster with Jb Jr bridge (re-formed) and i am looking for a neck pickup for it.. i dont have pickguard at the moment so it can be a strat pickup also.. But i dont know if the poles fit or if the pickup fit..
I thought about duckbucker or cool rail.. what are your thoughts?
Maybe the lil '59? In the everything axe set it's (n/m/b) lil '59/DB/JB jr, so it should be good...
another JBJr or a lil59
Cool Rails.
A JBJr or Hotrails would cost you versatility, and the CR just totally rocks at the neck: nice and clear, like a ´59 with a drop of Single Coil
Or a Duckbucker / Vintage rails if vou´re looking for a more single-coilish tone
Little 59 sounds some dark to me, its a gibson humbucker sound.. I havent tried cool rails or duckbucker. And thanks for all your informations..
The question is, i put a normal tex-mex single coil to try the poles and i have seen that the pole places dont fit with the string ways. Some strings have higher volumes. When i try with Wavelab i can easily see the Db difference.
Thats why i am thinking on something with Rails.. as they are a line without poles.. I like Hot rails also, but i think hot rail would sound darker and hotter than Jb jr.. So the best solutions seems like Cool Rails..
And its a pitty that Duncan doesnt produce a real rocking pickup for Telecaster Neck position.. Only pup with hum cancelling is Vintage Stack..
A player who buys Hot Rails bridge for tele would never find a suitable partner for that pickup (only with lots of hums STR-2, STR-3)
I will try Cool Rails very soon.. With 500K pots and 047capacitor....
Thanks people....
