ever make an amp with 3 phase inverter tubes? like invert it, then invert it back, then invert it back again?
i dunno why that idea just popped into my head. There is no point to it, as of yet, maybe someone can chime in with that part
Exactly---there is no point to it and it is more expensive.
I'm sure there could be a point, like put gain stages inbetween them so you get tons of PI distortion, which people rave about quite a bit
I bet it'd be better than adding extra preamp tubes - you might be onto a cool idea...
i was just kidding at first but now this sounds kinda cool
every phase inverter you add, adds another preamp tube chief...just something to consider
Well, you could also think that as more components you add more signal you are exposed to lost.
Let's see if an amp builder (like Scott_F) has a more technical input for your question.
For lack of a technical explaination... I don't think it's a feasible Idea. The PI in a class A/B amp acts as some what as a voltage see-saw. While one tube is seeing 50 voltage the other 50-. I don't see what having more than One would accomplish?
not gonna do it, wouldn't be prudent.
ok geeorge
