Name some popular guitar brands that you've never owned.
Name the ones you'd like to own, and the ones you'd never consider.I've never owned a MusicMan, Jackson, Peavey guitar, Fernandez, Yamaha, or Hamer.
I'd probably own the right Hamer or Jackson. I probably wouldn't buy a Peavey, BC Rich, or Fernandez. I like MusicMan, but they feel too small in my hands, so I probably wouldn't get one.
lol, pretty much all of them except Fender and Epiphone. Mostly because I'm not a millionaire and can't afford dozens of guitars.
I do have an Ibanez on order though, so I'll be able to add that one to the list sometime this year!
I've only owned Fender and Gibson. I'm hesitant to rule anything out, as just about any brand is capable of coming out with a pretty sweet guitar, though I have never been too terribly keen on BC Rich.
MusicMan, Peavey, Gibson (though I lived with 3 really nice ones, and have one on loan now), Martin, Washburn, Rickenbacher, PRS...
More importantly, the only ones I'm interested in owning are Jackson/Charvel, Kramer, ESP and Martin.
here's a biggie: Never owned a Gibson. It'll happen one day, maybe even soon. Top of the wishlist are an LP special, an R6 or a gem series. Same with epiphone, wouldn't mind a sheraton.
Never owned a charvel/jackson. Probably would have one if the right piece showed up.
Same for Hamer. Not many down my way. Cool guitars, though.
I'm very likely about to own a yamaha semihollow.
I could maybe see myself getting a peavey wolfgang or BC rich mockingbird, but it'd have to be a killer deal or in some future scenario where money is no object.
I really like musicman, especially the EVH, but they're kind of small.
I've yet to come across a Gamp;L that really speaks to me. I wouldn't rule it out, though.
For the kind of money Musicmans and Gamp;Ls go for down here, I'd rather get a s/h Anderson or Suhr imported.
I've never owned any Gibson or Epiphone guitars but since I was a little kid I've always wanted to own a Les Paul, the closest thing I have owned was an ESP EC series with a quilted maple top... it was an alright gutiar...
I have no desire to own anymore peavey's, although the quot;cut upquot; guitar I have used to be a peavey...rock On BroS!!
I've never had a charvel (but I have had a Jackson), Gretsch, ESP, LTD, B.C. Rich, Fernandes, Gamp;L, ...wait, let me name what I have owned, that's easierFender, Gibson, Hamer, Epiphone, Musicman (bass), Ibanez (bass), Jackson, Ovation, Takamine, Samick, Strings and Things Custom, Peavey, Goya...I think that about covers it
PRS, Jackson, Charvel, Music Man, McNaught, Martin, Taylor, Ibanez, Gamp;L
there's not really a need in me owning a Heritage since I own the real deals...lol
haven't owned anything but gibson, epiphone, squier, fernandes. and only own the gibson.
the ones I'm interested in owning are gretsch, fender and more gibson!
I have owned about everything except a ESP/LTD, Gretsch, Fernandes, Gamp;L, Hamer, Carvin, Yamaha, Washburn, Rickenbacker and Musicman. Not much else comes to mind. Out of those, I most likely wouldnt own a ESP/LTD, Musicman, Washburn, and Fernandes.
Hmmm... stuff I'd probably never buy...
Jackson (I like some metal, but not enough to get a guitar dedicated to it), ESP (see left lt;---- ), BC Rich (see ESP), Fender (just prefer the boutique Grosh stuff too much to ever buy one), Fernandes, Ernie Ball Music Man (same thing as GJ, big hands DON'T like those necks, I think my hand cramped by the second chord), Carvin, Yamaha, Washburn, Squier, Ibanez, First Act, Heritage... etc. etc. etc.
Stuff I own or have owned: Gibson, Don Grosh, Epiphone (very slim chance I'd buy one again), Ovation, Dean (not sure if I'd buy one again)
I love historic Gibsons, and I haven't played a single Don Grosh guitar that wasn't amazing, he is definitely as good or (arguably) better than Suhr, Anderson, Tyler etc. Those, by nature, are going to be the two companies I will be looking at guitars from first.
PRS makes some quality stuff, so I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with one in the future. I like some of Schecters stuff and definitely, for the price, they kill; so I may buy one for odds and ends stuff. A Baker or McNaught are two guitars I'll be seriously thinking about down the road.
havent owned: fender, gibson, rickenbacker, taylor, martin, yamaha
wanna own: fender, gibson, rickenbacker, taylor, martin, yamaha
