First off, hi! I'm new around these parts.
I just replaced a stock humbucker from the bridge which was the Duncan Designed HB-101 and now I bought a JB which I'm happy with but I was expecting it to sound similar to the HB-101 but better with more output. I have a Dimarzio HFH in the neck and with my previous pickup I used to have a shrill sound in the middle position but now since I upgraded to the JB that shrill sound is gone and there's not much difference between the bridge, mid or neck positions so I was wondering if maybe I've done something wrong.. anyone with the same pu's or knowledge about them could clarify me on this one? thx in advance
welcome to the forum. Im not sure about your question but someone will chime in soon.

well, you're gonna have to tell us how you wired the new pickup into your circuit before we can totally help
it sounds like you've made a (probably simple to fix) error, but without more info, we cant be sure
what kind of switch? 3 way toggle? 3 way blade? other?
are you doing coil splits?
cheers

1 thats what i was thinking to post but couldnt think of.
is sounds like either a 3way toggle or 3 way blade.
Thx for the welcome, It's a 3 way blade, I wired it the same way as the old pu, green to ground and black to pu selector from : localhost//website...tone_3way.html
