could someone tell me a good 31 band rackmount eq for the price? i've been checking ebay, but i don't know what is for a stereo system, or what is for guitar amps and such. also, whats the use of having a 2 channel eq? or even an 8?

DBX makes the 1231 but its 3 rack spaces and it's probably better suited for PA or stationary use.
I have seen or or two nice digital/programable/midi eqs out there but you'll have to do a little web surfing. I think I saw a nice one advertized at Musicians Friend.
You only need a 2 channel eq if you are running in stereo. I was looking at this one, among others.
