Have a fender arched goldtop tele in the shop for a new nut.So I grab a bone blank and carve it all the standard spec after 20-30 minutes of cutting and grinding I discover that the nut is 0.0030quot; thinner than standard,the radius is 12quot; and the bottom of the nut is flat.
AARRRRGH!!!!!!!!
The one time I don't take dimensions is the one time I get a Fender with a flat bottomed nut
Those are the kind of things that I do John....don't feel bad.
I have been guilty of it!!!!!!!
