Well, picked up the local classifieds today, and i seen one of these in it, For 450$ canadian, i think i can get it for lower. In my band i primarily play sabbath based stuff. I know its a fender but i just wanna see what its like, says its 100watts so its louder than my current amp, and its 2 channels as opposed to my silvertones 1, anyways what do these things sound like? good? bad?
I'm after one of these. Basically, it's a head version of the 80s era red knob twin amp. Great cleans, and an overdrive channel that sounds pretty good, too. Robben Ford used red knob twins for his sound for a while.

hmm. ok, how is the price, good? bad? i am starting to get quite interested in it, i also play a fair bit of blues on the side.
That price is a steal. Buy it now or I will
what year is it?

hmm, good question, i dont have a clue as of right now, haven't called the guy yet.
if it's a 60's showman, prepare for some GREAT cleans. Throw a fuzz pedal in front of it and you should obtain a pretty good sabbath tone (cranked of course).
And it's pretty much a one channel amp unless you do some A/B pedaling. You can set one channel's mids and treble way up with an OD to switch between that and a pure clean channel. It's an AWESOME amp, you can't lose!

Yeah thats something along the lines of what i was thinking, except just use the amp OD and a treble booster in front of it. I will post if i get to buy it.
it doesnt have OD. The controls are- normal channel-Volume, treble, middle, bass. Vibrato channel-volume, treble, middle, bass, intensity, and speed of vibrato.
No distortion knobs, it's a non master volume amp, and being 85 watts, dont expect to see any natural overdrive unless you're playing a big gig. That's beauty of the twin and showman-never dirty up, always clean for giant sounding chords and sparkling leads.
