Man am I pissed at myself. On friday I was browsing through some guitar dealer sites and I came across the most beautiful Charvel I have ever seen. It was a new pointy headstock US San Dimas w/ maple neck in tangerine (fender candy tangerine) finish. It came with a hotrails neck, JB bridge and a Original Floyd Bridge (not recessed). I NEED this guitar. So I email them and get the price for it. I spend 2 days thinking about this guitar and if I really need it or not. I do some searching around on the web looking for another 1 just like it, but i couldn't find another. This morning I check their site and it is still listed, so I go to the bank to move some $$ around so i can put it on my debit card. I call the dealer this afternoon... and they ****ing sold it this morning. I almost cried. I guess instead of thinking about it for a few days i should have jumped on it friday. I probably wont be able to sleep tonight.
I did get some good news for Charvel fans. In 2006 Charvel is going to put strat headstocks on the US San Dimas guitars.

Where did you hear this and -- can't wait for Winter NAMM now!
lol i almost bought it too. one of the guys on the charvel/jackson forums landed it. very cool guitar but i'm just not a fan of pointy headstocks so that's why i passed on it.

i thought a saved a pic of it on my computer but i can't find it. Jason at drumcityguitarland told me about the strat head models. He said they would be just like the US standard models out now but instead of the pointy headstock they will have the strat headstock. He said there would be solid finish models and some with graphics. He told me they ordered 30 of them and they should start coming in in january and february.
Xss you know the guy that bought that guitar?
yeah, he posts on two charvel/jackson forums i am on. and check your PMs in a few.

Damn that is it!! Now i am going to cry. There is just something about a Hum/single no guard with a floyd, and I don't even like trems!!
I have already been thinking about going the warmoth route, but I think I will wait and see what the strat head models they get in the first of the year look like
Mike with the pic save!
Ez74 you just gave me some very good news from where I stand!
Word on if any will have the Charvel Brass Tremolo w/ stainless steel bridge saddles?

I asked about that and i was told that they will all have Floyds, but I don't know if he meant that they only ordered models with Floyds or that that was the only option. I would think that they would also offer the brass trem also but i'm not for sure.
Oh well, you win some , you lose some....Originally Posted by Ez74.....

just curious, where did you get this Info and how credible is the source?? Multiple people at JCMI have left it clear that they would LIKE to do it, but currently canamp;#180;t (Licensing issues), not even as a CS option..... right now the only guitars with stratheads are the reissues, EVH series, Jackson PC-1, and one-off Endorsee guitars...
Iamp;#180;m not saying itamp;#180;s not gonna happen, but Iamp;#180;m really curious as to who said this......
*Edit* Have now Read the whole thread.... interesting.....
could be the ones that dan is working on with the graphics (NOT the demartini guitars)
Well, since Jackson/Charvel are now owned by Fender, I can see the USA Charvels having the Strat headstock again. I will want one too.
Thats a nice looking Charvel. My funds are starting to go up for my new axe I'm thinking about purchasing, I'm still pretty unsure. But car insurance just took a bite out of me, but I get closer and closer as the months go by.
Being single = more money.
