My Strat G.a.s went to Carved top strat G.A.S (I must have it bad because my E/2 is being shipped out on the 1st from california). Not to mention it's quickly turning into better amp G.A.S.

Now the Showmaster while being Fender Custom Shop Attention and Quality, also has the Tele Headstock which I think doesn't fit, and also those cheesy inlays all along the fretboard (one would have been fine). If I did this I would probably go for Custom Shop and get one with a Strat Headstock and it would look a lot like this beauty if not exactly and I normally don't like flames

The only major difference would be a Bolt on Vs. a Set Neck.

I'm sure I'd be happy with either but just wanted to get a discussion going.

Well if u can get that showmaster for that cheap I'd take it in a ****in second.

Showmaster are cool guitars twice I've almost been overcome by G.A.S. and bought one. One had a fixed bridge and single humbucker the other other one had the standard strat trem and dual buckers. The tone and playablity on both was great. I've never had a custom guitar so I can't coment on them, but I would think they would have amazing quilty. As far as bolt-on vs. set neck my preference would be set, but I wouldn't not buy a guitar because its a bolt on.

I think it would be really cool to have a custom made guitar. Would the rest of the specs, be the same?

Aye I have one of those Fender Scorpion Showmasters.

One thing lately i've noticed is that I love the feel of my Acoustic, and really prefer it to the showmaster neck. I was hoping a 1-3/4quot; nut width which is what the acoustic has would make it more like the acoustic. I don't know how to put a strap to my acoustic so I don't know how it would feel while standing up.

The acoustic just has a bunch of mojo and I'm going to get the measurement's for the neck's specs. I'm sure the Fender Custom Shop could do the neck carve like that for me.

I guess it comes down to the Fender Custom Shop would cost 2k . The Elite goes for about 2,100. I wouldn't want the inlay, and I'd want a Strat headstock, and the 1-3/4 width.

I'm hoping I can get a job at a Guitar Center or something and get an Employee discount. Anyone with any GC ties know how much the discount is?
