what do you guys think of the vox valvetronix amps, particularly the ad50vt? im on a budget but im a tone freak and i want a good metal tone but still versatlility.

I tried the 15 and the 30, but not the 50...

I was very impressed. The 15 actually sounded better to me than the 30...

For myself, I probably wouldn't buy it tho... but that's just me... I'm a MARSHALL guy...

I've seemed to start quite a Valvetronix stir lately! LOL....Glad I'm influencing a bunch of people onto these amps!

I just bought the Valvetronix 120watt heat....I wasn't on a budget when I bought mine,but I sure love this amp...Seems the whole VT line gets great reviews.

i havent read one bad review about the ad50vt or any vox valvetronix. im pretty positive im going to by the ad50vt this weekend if i can sell my crate amp.

I bought a ad15vt in December and it has recently shown signs of problems. It's started crackling and cutting out. I've read of several others who have had this kind of problem and was hoping it wouldn't affect me. Oh well. I'm gonna use that extended warranty I got at GC.

I should also say I really like the amp. Good tones to be had for sure. I'm just not sure I'd recommend one with the reliability issues I've read of and are now experiencing first hand.

I love the valvetronix... especially after my HORRIBLE experience with Line6 modelling technology (...my line6 is for sale, by the way) The AD30 sounds nearly perfect to my ears, though admittedly I bought it almost solely on the merit of it's fender cleans and JCM800, I've found it's other tones quite accurate, and it's effects are much better than the line6 (though harder to tweak).

No cabinet rattle with mine! I'd say it's the closest thing to a quot;realquot; tube amp out there... not quite there, but close enough

I compared it alongside a Marshall MG and Valvestate. I much prefer the vox

I have the 15 and I think it is great. I am actually considering a head as one of a few different options right now. I don't actually need all that versatilty but I like it so much I may go for it anyway.
