Hey Guys.
I'm going to buy a pedalboard pretty soon. I currently only have 2 boss stompboxes that are 9 volts and a 18v crybaby. (Also getting a boss delay DD-6, and an Earnie Ball volume pedal) So I need a power supply that can power all of them.
The DC-Brick has 7 9v ones and 3 18v ones. Anyone have experience with it?
from : localhost/you recommend the DC-Brick?
Which other power supplies can power my 18v crybaby 535q?
Thanks,
Alex
Bumpity bump. Gearjoneser, Robert, XSSIVE, Anyone who has a pedalboard?
I really need to know guys!
I remember looking at those power bricks, i'm pretty sure it isololates the power to each pedal and filters it. So the power is clean going to the pedals aka less noise.
I don't have one, but I've heard from many that the DC Brick is reliable.Originally Posted by proxyi'm pretty sure it isololates the power to each pedal and filters it. So the power is clean going to the pedals aka less noise.
Good info. Definitely consider the DC Brick then.
I've used the DC Brick for about 6 months without a single problem. Really makes it easy to just setup and go.
can the DC brick power the EHX pedals? I have a small clone USA and was considering this power supply,
thanks!
IMO the best there is is the Voodoo Labs Pedal Power II. It will power all of your boss pedals as well as your wah. I had a 535Q and I just plugged it into a regular 9v slot on my PPII. I wasn't aware it was 18 volts??? Also you can power 2 L 6 pedals with ease!!

That's why I went with the Pedal Power....had to have something that can power the Line 6 MM4.....it powers everything on my board, plus that, also has that sagging battery option on two (which you can turn off if you don't want) . It's just a great power supply
i have had a DC-Brick for about 4-5 years now and never had a problem with it. mine came with 7 cables with boss type ends and 7 with the ends for E.H. pedals. so it will power just about any brand of pedals. a friend of mine liked mine so much he bought one a few years ago and hasnt had any problems either.
The Pedal Power II plus is one of the best investments I've ever made. It has 8 isolated power spots for your pedals and it's compatible with virtually anything out there (you just need to make sure the polarity is correct). It has tons of mA available to operate very demanding pedals like delays. It can also power 18v pedals with the right cable.
I use the DC Brick and it has never malfunctioned in the 3 years I've used it. If I would replace it, I would probably go the VooDoo labs route, because of the extra options.
I use 2 pedalboards. Onw with the band and one at home. I use this to power almost everything.
from : localhost/my band board I have a CH1 a DD3 a TS9 my Vox Clyde McCoy and a tuner. This powers it all.
My home board is a little more comples because I use 2 amps and effects loops and a few other issues that I have a esperat power supply for my Wah and a multi effect box that is AC powered. When I bought my one spot it came with a daisey chain and it was a little more, about 25$. I damaged one that was causing some hiss. I sent it to visual sound and they replaced it no charge. They work fine as long as you are not trying to power a whole lot of stuff it should be good!
ive used a 1-spot for 3 years and it works fine. nice long cord, and it powers my 5 pedals (including a Line6) just fine.
A question about these two pedal power supplies: The DC-Brick is DC power, so it can't support pedals that run on AC power like the SFX-03, Plexitone, and those Line 6 pedals right? Well, the Pedal Power 2 is an AC power supply (I think..), but does it support those DC power pedals?
The Pedal Power is a DC poweer supply as well, VooDoo Labs does have an ACX power supply for things like the SFX-03, Whammy pedals, etc but the PPII will not power those units.BTW...why is this thread back from so long ago...
