I just bought a brand new Blues Junior on sale at Guitar Center for $359.00
I have to say that this amp has all the glorious tube tones of any vintage Fender amp ever made. From Rock, Blues, Country, Metal, this amp does it all, and works well with all kinds of pedals for any style of music. IMHO, it is the best all tube amp for the money.

I was going to get one, but i think i've decide on a V-amp 2 and a valvetronix. I just think it'll be a better way to go for me at this point.

Good luck, and have fun with the new amp by the way.

Thanks bro,
Like I said, the BJ can do it all with a few choice pedals.

Two modelling units?

Yeah, I know it's a versatile amp but I don't know if it has all the features i need, and it may not have the clean headroom i need. Does it have a line out? I never found much info on it.

I'm pretty amazed at the tone of mine sometimes.

sounds better than a lot of more expensive amps I've played.

simple, good tone ... that's why there's a Blues Junior Mafia on the FDP forum

It has my favorite cleans of any amp I've ever played in person. Great buy!

I love my Blues JR. and by the end of the week I'll be able to do the Bill M tonestack mod. When I get it finished I'll post a review of the tonal changes......Joe

I have one that I love the tone on, but it's just not working for what I want right now. Nice warm cleans and a really cool bluesy overdrive. Sounds great at reasonable volumes as well.

I've been looking to sell mine for a little while to fund other things however.

Ditto,
IMHO, the BJ sounds just as good or better than some of the old tweed amps.

What is the Tonestack Mod?

It's a just changing a couple of capacitors. It depends on if you have a green or cream colored pc board. Here is the website. from : localhost/mywebpages.comcast.net/machrone/bluesjunior.htm

I'm gonna do my amp and if I don't like it I can always change it back.....Joe

Thanks for the link Joe.

my bj has been my go to guy for a few years now, i love that little devil, but it may have to take a backseat as im picking up my Traynor 50 Blue tomorrow.

Welcome to the club, man. I love mine, too. I'd reccommend some JJ Tesla tubes for your first change. They really add some flavor on the high end.

YJM, the Blues Jr takes the VAMP2 really well. I don't know how much clean headroom you're looking for, but it's a Fender, so it has it's fair share. It doesn't have a line out, though. Just a ext. speaker out.

I've got the BJ relic Limited Edition and I too am just amazed at what a good little amp it is for the price. I wish it had a little of a bottom end, but it still smokes for blues and rock especially with a tube screamer in front of it.

I do have a problem with mine that I want some suggestions on. Since it's a relic edition they used rusty screws to screw the back on and I can't get the screws loose to get to the guts of the amp. The heads of the screws are stripped. What do you guys suggest to get into this puppy?

You might use a file to cut a slot into the screw and use a regular slotted screwdriver to loosen the screws or go to the hardware store and purchase an EZ out.
