Which bucker should i put in my Charvel Model 3 MIJ, JT6 Floyd Rose, Rosewood fingerboard to have similar tone to HS-3 pup, more precise i like the tone on Yngwie Malmsteen song Aftermath when he is playing rhytm. Also i don't mind the output of pup but i like hotter models
Thanks
The closest thing to a HS-3 is a HS-3 or YJM. The HS-3 is a low output stacked single coil (coils stacked on one another but retaining the look of a single coil). If you want a humbucker sized pup with the tone of a HS-3, it would have to be very low output PAFish style and even then it's not going to resemble an HS-3.
If your guitar is routed for buckers, you could look for a strat style pickguard for it or better yet do what I did and fine yourself a MIJ strat, get it refretted and install a set of YJM/HS-3s.
Thanks, but i don't want to change this guitar I am just curious Somebody else? Also this is question for all (Zerberus see this please ) I cannot be sure which wood is used for this guitar, from what i have read it is basswood or poplar but how can i be sure (i am not so good in recognizing woods so some other way)? Maybe by weight?
The only thing that comes to mind would be a Stag Mag or Rio Grande Muy Grande but wired in parallel as opposed to normal series wiring.
